Our client, the corporate practice group, is currently searching for an associate to join the Providence office. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years' experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on private equity. Our client is a highly-regarded full-service law firm that is known for its expertise in complex litigation, regulatory matters, and transactional work. The firm represents clients across various important and growing industry sectors worldwide. The selected individual will have various responsibilities associated with this role.

Essential Functions

Candidates for Associate positions should possess the ability to deliver efficient and dependable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.

As part of their regular responsibilities, associates must:

  • Draft transaction agreements and documents efficiently and clearly.
  • Oversee transaction closings and processes.
  • Conduct thorough factual and legal research and analysis.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and be in good standing in Rhode Island.
  • Creativity and flexibility to handle numerous types and structures of transactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associate and Support Staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
