As a national defense firm, we're urgently seeking experienced and passionate paralegals in the Atlanta area with experience in Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Litigation, and Trucking or Automobile Injury defense cases. Responsibilities

Discover Your Role

As a Paralegal experienced in Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Litigation, and Trucking/Automobile defense cases, your role will involve:

Draft letters, invoices, documents, reports, etc. for attorney review

Obtain medical records from clients and health care facilities

Compile filings for and packages for attorney review

  • Communicate with clients in regard to updates and information/document gathering, initial intake and scheduling
  • Update the case management system and other case tracking methodologies to keep files current
  • Manage the oversight of incoming and outgoing mail, and ensure files are updated
  • Manage and update attorney calendar
  • Prepare and send correspondence as directed
  • Ensure case files are created, updated, organized, and that physical and electronic files include all relevant materials and information

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you'll need to have the following requirements:

  • Must be able to work in our Atlanta office
  • Preferred candidates will have 3+ years of experience handling Civil Litigation cases, such as, Medical Malpractice, Nursing Home Litigation, and Trucking/Automobile defense.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and to demonstrate personal integrity, excellent judgment and high ethical standards
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent spelling and grammar and client service
  • Experience with e-filing
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and navigate competing deadlines and priorities to meet strict deadlines
