Position Profile

Weaver's IT Advisory Services (ITAS) team is growing! We are looking to add IT Advisory Services Associates to our team. Our ITAS team works with our clients to make a more risk-aware, effective IT organization that can deliver transformational business change and meet regulatory compliance requirements. Our IT Advisory Services include Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance Monitoring, SSAE 18 (SOC 1, 2 & 3) Reporting, PCI DSS Assessments, IT Internal Audits, external audit support over IT, and cybersecurity assessments. Weaver’s ITAS team is a high-performing, dynamic team with great growth and results.

An ITAS Associate is responsible for assisting with the execution of various engagement objectives within assigned areas. The ideal candidate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. An ITAS Associate enjoys flexibility, meaningful and diverse client work, and a supportive and innovative work environment.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, or other relevant field
  • Master's degree or further education in information systems auditing preferred
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or other relevant field preferred
  • CISA or CISA candidate, CISSP or CISSP candidate, CIA or CIA candidate, and/or CPA or CPA candidate
  • 0 – 2 years of experience in public accounting, external audit, internal audit, information technology and/or staff accountant responsibilities
  • Knowledge of IT controls and how they impact the control environment
  • Knowledge of COBIT, COSO and related frameworks preferred
  • Basic understanding of Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and the role that information technology plays in compliance
  • Basic understanding of systems infrastructure and security, connectivity, remote access, and data mining
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting, transaction cycles and business processes
