Commercial Litigation Associate

Miller Johnson, one of Michigan’s largest full-service law firms is seeking an experienced full-time Commercial Litigation Associate for our Grand Rapids Office. Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Michigan state bar
• 1-3 years of experience practicing commercial litigation
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and adversaries.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Conduct research; assisting and attending witness interviews; and attending client meetings and court hearings
• Conduct analysis to develop case strategies and provide guidance on complex legal issues.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on matters related to commercial disputes, risk management, and litigation avoidance.
