Patent Agent/Junior Patent Prosecution Associate with Aerospace Background

Venable LLP’s Patent Prosecution and Counseling group seeks a patent agent or junior associate with an aerospace engineering and experience with engine technology to join the group working exclusively on technology prosecution matters in the Washington, D.C. office.

The qualified candidate is a registered patent agent with examining experience at the U.S. PTO or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to use their deep technical knowledge to work exclusively on patent prosecution and holds undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering. Strong preference for previous experience as a patent examiner. Industry experience is a plus. Associate candidate should have a minimum of two years of legal practice experience. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability. All submissions must include a brief cover letter indicating office of interest, and undergraduate, graduate school, and law school transcripts as applicable.
