Insurance Financial Lines Associate or Special Counsel Attorney

New York, NY Hybrid Full Time

Kennedys, recently ranked as a Leading Firm in The Legal 500 US 2022, and maintained our rankings in Chambers USA 2022 for Insurance and Insurance: Dispute Resolution, seeks a motivated and self-starting Mid-Level Associate or Special Counsel Attorney to join its dynamic and rapidly growing Financial Lines Coverage and D&O practice to represent insurer interests in high exposure matters.

Ideal candidates will have coverage, monitoring and litigation-related experience in one or more of the following insurance lines: financial institutions, directors & officers, professional liability, bank liability, crime, fidelity, product recall, miscellaneous errors & omissions, political risk, employment practices liability, management liability (public and private entity), reps and warranties insurance, and other similar coverage lines, a strong attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates should also have an interest in marketing and thought leadership efforts through practice-related publications, involvement in professional associations, client presentations and speaking engagements.

The annualized salary range for this role is $140,000-$200,000; however, actual salary is contingent upon level of experience, practice group, location and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Required experience

  • Excellent writing, research and analytical skills.
  • JD required from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Illinois and/or California.
  • At least 4 years' experience preferred but not required.
