Position Overview

Our firm is actively looking to hire an Associate Attorney in our Rogers, Arkansas office to help with our high volume of litigation cases. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with experienced attorneys on each case you are assigned. Your responsibilities would include but would not be limited to, performing legal research; drafting legal documents; assisting with and taking the lead on oral and written discovery; developing and implementing case strategy; and communicating directly with senior partners and client about the status of litigation matters. While we sometimes negotiate settlements on behalf of clients without going to trial, we are looking for someone who can aggressively represent our clients’ interests through trial.

Duties and Responsibilities Summary

  • Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
  • Assist with the discovery process by taking and defending depositions; propounding written discovery; and responding to written discovery, including detailed document review and production.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Make court appearances as necessary.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications Summary

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law.
  • 3 to 7 years’ experience litigating cases is ideal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
