Job Description
Shearman & Sterling is looking for an Associate (3 6 years experience) to join our Tax practice group in New York. We have a full-servicetransactionaltax practice with a reputation for sophisticated work.The group advises on complex M&A transactions, partnership and joint venture transactions, capital markets and securitization offerings, and financial products.
We are seeking candidates with transactional tax experience (preferably in a major lawfirm), excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school or a Tax LL.M. program. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, has a positive attitude and good judgment. Applications should include a resume and law school transcript.

Shearman & Sterlings compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $215,000 to $415,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Shearman & Sterlings total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
