PARALEGAL ASSISTANT

Description:

Paralegal Assistant works with international transactional practice group to maintain and organize files, as well as prepare post-closing document compilations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assemble and prepare post-closing document compilation sets
  • Track and organize original deal documents in a centralized location
  • Prepare follow-up correspondence to parties regarding outstanding deal documents
  • Maintain status report of open issues
  • Maintain a calendar tracking relevant deadlines and correspondence follow-ups
  • Effectively communicate to attorneys the status of outstanding deal documents
  • Preparation of files for off-site storage
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Full time in office

Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate / 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Light typing ability (40+ WPM)
  • Ability to work well independently, multi-task, and handle time-sensitive material
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field
