NP’s Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy team represents both distressed businesses and their creditors. Many of the matters that we handle involve cross border situations. An opportunity exists within the Team for an associate to also develop skills in M&A, Finance, or insolvency-related litigation.

In accordance with applicable federal and state laws, the anticipated annual salary ranges for this position, depending on location, are as follows.

  • New York, NY: $200,000 to $210,000
  • Los Angeles, CA: $200,000 to $210,000
  • San Francisco, CA: $200,000 to $210,000
  • Boston, MA: $200,000 to $210,000
  • Chicago, IL: $200,000 to $210,000
  • Washington, DC: $200,000 to $210,000

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range(s) are Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience representing companies and financial institutions in the financial restructuring and bankruptcy processes. We will also consider other candidates who have a proven interest in financial restructuring and bankruptcy. A bankruptcy clerkship qualifies as the experience noted above.

Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, superb judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing extraordinary client service.
