Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for an associate attorney in the personal injury practice group within our Marlton, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and detailed-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will support personal injury cases in a busy practice, with oversight from other attorneys in the practice group.
  • Responsible for all phases of personal injury practice, from pre-litigation through post-litigation, with an emphasis on client interaction, drafting of pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, handling court appearances, doing jury trials, and negotiating settlements.
  • Evaluating the merits of personal injury claims, retaining experts, and providing guidance and counsel to clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A solid worth ethic.
  • 0 - 3 years of relevant law firm experience or judicial clerkship experience. Prior personal injury experience is preferred but not required.
  • Solid legal research and writing skills.
  • Candidate will be expected to develop strong ties to Southern New Jersey as part of their business marketing strategy.
  • An understanding that the position requires working in the office full-time.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to multi-task while demonstrating strong integrity and professionalism.
  • A willingness to work autonomously at times and collaboratively during other times, as an effective member of a practice group team.
  • Bar admission in the State of New Jersey or Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. Ultimately, admission to both states’ bars is required.
