Hunton Andrews Kurth, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Lawyer Recruiting Coordinator in the Washington, DC office. The Lawyer Recruiting Coordinator performs administrative work of a highly confidential and complex nature; works closely with all levels of firm administration on various lawyer recruiting, training, development and other team initiatives.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Provides administrative support for the Senior Manager of Lawyer Recruiting for the Washington, DC and Boston offices. Provides a variety of firm-wide and office-specific recruiting and development support in the DC office.

2. Coordinates the DC office summer associate program, with direction from the Senior Manager, and performs a variety of tasks including orientation, mentor assignments, planning and attending events, meals, team lunches, coordination of office and work assignments, and setting up the summer associate module in LawCruit and office information on eHunt. Prepares all payroll and departure-related information for summer associates. Tracks, updates and circulates summer budget and entertainment expenses to Summer Program/Hiring Committee and Hiring Partner. Compiles list of summer associate housing and updates yearly.

3. Sends reminders as necessary regarding summer program team or office rotation changes, evaluation deadlines, and mid-summer and exit interviews to appropriate staff and attorneys. Monitors and compiles evaluations and raises any issues regarding the lack of evaluations or issues raised in evaluations. Reminds summer associates of necessary procedures regarding their departure from the firm and collects all wrap-up information and materials from summer associates before they depart.

4. Acts as liaison between the firm and assigned law schools and job fairs for coordinating dates, logistics, and scheduling of on-campus interviews; registers with various schools via Symplicity, prepares the materials, interviewer notebooks, and giveaways for each event. Coordinates attorney interview arrangements, including travel. Maintains communications with law school career center officers and prepares all relevant correspondence. Completes and submits registration forms, relevant correspondence and firm literature required by law schools.

5. Researches and recommends events for assigned law schools and assists in arranging and coordinating recruiting events. Compiles and publishes diversity recruiting efforts and attends job fairs and other assigned law school events.

6. Manages and coordinates the work of the Law School Ambassadors for assigned schools, and assists with research, annual business plan, budget and scheduled events and activities for each school. Advances professional relationship with assigned law schools and develops creative recruiting strategies.

7. Provides coordinator support to the annual Associate Evaluation Program, including monitoring evaluation completion deadlines and status, collecting and entering delinquent evaluations, coordinating associate review meetings, printing and distributing confidential documents for review meetings, and collecting and finalizing Associate Committee member review meeting summaries.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years’ job related experience required, including internships, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.

Other Qualifications: Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Ability to generate a large volume of work and be capable of making sound decisions in the absence of clear instructions. Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills. Accurate typing, word processing skills and ability to pay strict attention to detail. Spelling, punctuation and use of grammar must be of high quality. Must have strong organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through both written and oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. Ability to maintain flexibility regarding work assignments to work overtime on short notice required.
