Job Description:

Williams Mullen is seeking an associate with at least 1-6 years’ experience in environmental regulatory matters to join our established Environment and Natural Resources practice Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group in our Richmond, VA office.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have experience addressing at least some mix of federal and state air pollution, water quality, wastewater, stormwater management, wetlands, solid and hazardous waste, Superfund, petroleum and chemical storage program matters. Additional work involving brownfields, cultural resources, and protected species is beneficial, and prior representation of developers, manufacturers, utilities, petroleum companies and trade associations is also a plus. Experience in the energy and/or renewable industry is also advantageous.

Candidates should also embrace an entrepreneurial spirit and desire direct client interaction, significant responsibility on complex matters, and a chance to work closely with industry-leading partners on a fast-paced team. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills, as well as strong academic credentials, are required.

A candidate must also be currently licensed in Virginia or be join the Virginia Bar by waiver or taking the Virginia bar exam promptly upon employment.
