Are you a skilled commercial real estate paralegal experienced in supporting attorneys in a law firm setting? Are you excited about the prospect of handling various aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including financing, development, leasing of commercial properties, and working with a diverse range of national restaurant operating companies? Look no further, as Nelson Mullins, a national AmLaw 100 law firm with an office in Atlanta, is currently seeking an exceptional Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join their team!

A Day in the Life

Prepare to immerse yourself in a fast-paced Commercial Real Estate practice, where you will provide support to attorneys and collaborate with other paralegals. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and abstracting purchase agreements, paying close attention to critical dates and closing conditions; analyzing title and survey matters; drafting memorandums and objection letters regarding title reviews; organizing and fulfilling conditions necessary to meet title requirements; conducting research on real property tax and ownership information; coordinating, conducting, and funding escrow closings; ensuring compliance with escrow instruction letters, including recording and the issuance of final title insurance policies; and managing post-closing tasks.

Working efficiently under pressure to meet strict deadlines for demanding clients will come naturally to you. You will showcase excellent client service skills by managing multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and with minimal supervision. Your strong communication skills will be evident as you interact effectively with individuals at all levels, including management and support staff. Your proficiency in using computers for document organization and management, as well as your general technological familiarity, will be among your strengths. You excel both as an independent worker and as a team player, and you possess a proactive, self-starting mindset that allows you to understand the finer details within a broader context.

We Know You

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in title and survey review,. Previous experience in a large firm and knowledge of real estate transactions would be advantageous. While a bachelors degree from a four-year college or university and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program are preferred, relevant work experience can be considered as a substitute.
