Hogan Lovells US LLP seeks a junior- to mid-level patent prosecution and counseling associate, or patent agent at any level, with at least 2 years of experience in patent prosecution and counseling, to join our highly regarded IP practice in our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Houston, or Washington D.C. offices.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, computer science, or equivalent. Registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office, or ability to qualify, is required.This position will interface directly with counsel and engineers at both established and emerging tech clients, and benefit from knowledge and experience in areas of subject matter such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, rockets and space-oriented payload delivery, automation, computer networking, encryption, graphics and animation, and computer gaming/e-sports.

Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Bar in the United States.

Compensation for this role will be top-of-market, with an annualized salary range of $125,000 to $375,000, depending on the candidates overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hours-based bonus, consistent with market practice. In addition, this position will be eligible for the firms fringe benefits as they currently exist.
