Stark & Stark is actively recruiting for an Associate for our Hamilton, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-directed and detailed-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will support personal injury cases, with oversight from other attorneys in the practice.
  • Responsible for all phases of personal injury litigation, with an emphasis on drafting pleadings, engaging in written discovery, taking and defending depositions and oral motion hearings.
  • Candidate must know or be willing to learn medical concepts and terminology.
  • Experience evaluating the merits of a personal injury claim, retaining experts, and providing guidance and counsel to clients through effective communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Three to five years of experience handling personal injury cases is preferred.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Must be skilled in negotiation and drafting.
  • Possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Exercise judgment and the ability to work autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to problem solve independently.
  • New Jersey judicial clerkship is a plus.
  • Candidates with an insurance defense background are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates fluent in Mandarin are encouraged to apply.
  • Admission in New Jersey is required. Admission in Pennsylvania or New York is a bonus.
